To me, the people who go up and perform at open mics are brave. Not only is it daunting to be in front of a crowd, but you also have the pressure of following up whoever went last. I don’t think any of that occurs to Marado. This lyricist pops off on stage and shows that open mics are more than an opportunity to showcase your talents, but a performance that makes sure the audience is having a good time. More than that, he turned this event into his show. Marado’s music is defined as R&B and alternative soul. This was prevalent during the 3 songs he performed (on 3 separate occasions mind you). His song CALL U L8R got me rushing to spotify to add it to my playlists and the vibes were immaculate when he and Amir (forming the duo AMiRADO) performed their new song RUNNiN’. Every time he got on the mic I knew I was going to have a great time and my camera definitely felt it.
